Feedback and Updates

I know you guys are out there, either close to the brewery or far away in the depths of the internet. We want some feedback from you readers out there. If you like what we do here, let us know and if you don't let us know why. The internet is a magical place. Just ask Senator Ted Stevens.

"They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the Internet. And again, the Internet is not something you just dump something on. It's not a truck. It's a series of tubes. And if you don't understand that those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and it's going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material..."-Sen Ted Stevens

Think about that.

Our Octoberfest party is coming up at Flossmoor this Saturday.
OKTOBERFEST
September 23, 2006 4pm-10pm.
Activities include: Live music, kids activities/face painting,
traditional German food, and great beer specials!

We will be tapping our Octoberfest that day so be ready. This year's edition of Octoberfest is dedicated to Terry Richardson, the recently departed brewer at Govnor's Pub in Lake-in-the-Hills IL. I didn't know Terry very well at all, we may have met at a beer fest or two but if the long line of people paying their respects at his wake can be any judge of the man's life, he was well respected and very well liked. He was a homebrewer turned professional and it always hurts to lose one of your own. Naming our Octoberfest after him is only a token gesture but one that we hope he would have appreciated.

Denver and GABF 25!
Last year in Denver we hobbled away with three shameful bronze medals. This year at the 25th annual Great American Beer Festival we are sending seven beers and hope that we won't embarrass ourselves too badly when we walk home empty handed. Matt and I head out on the 27th and return on the 1st so wish us luck!

Don't forget, we want to hear back on how we are doing with our beers, and with this blog. We were recently mentioned on Realbeer.com's Beer Therapy. A great beer blog that everyone should check out when they get the chance. (I think they are Peewee fans too!)

Matt, are you trying to lure away the Oompa-Loompas to increase production at the brewhouse, so you can start retail packaging? Will we need a Golden Ticket to have you pour on Fridays?
